Mobberley Parish Council

Mobberley Parish Council are keen to involve the community as much as possible.

Local competitions are held including Scarecrow and Christmas light competitions and following a request from a local resident, a Community Orchard was created on land owned by the Parish Council.  This is maintained by the residents.

The Parish Council are always looking at ways it can serve the Parish and help with projects.

Please contact them if you have any ideas or suggestions for classes you would like to see started in Mobberley.

Recent Projects

Village Stocks

The Village Stocks located on Church Lane opposite the Church Inn, date back to Elizabethan times.  The area has recently been tidied and  blue plaque erected to mark this ancient landmark.

Red Telephone Boxes

Three iconic red telephone boxes located in Mobberley have been purchased by the Parish Council and have been adapted to serve the community.

The box at the Victory Hall serves as a childrens book exchange, whilst the box by the Rajar Building is a book exchange for adults.  The final box, located at Knolls Green acts as an information point.  Two of the three boxes have been refurbished with new glass.

Village Fingerpost Signs

Work has commenced on the refurbishment of the fingerpost signs which are located throughout the village. The first one to be re-painted is situated at Knolls Green.  The remaining fingerpost signs will hopefully be re-painted soon.
